What If?

What did you get told as a kid?

I'm so proud of you because you're doing great in school and

you are a great student that behaves well, right?

But, then you think to yourself,

What if I wasn't smart? 

What if I wasn't well behaved?

Would I still be myself, here? 

or would I be walking in the streets like all the lowlife's your parents talk about? 

I have no idea, we have no idea. 

All the words you get told might be well meaning but they make you think 

What If?

It is so strange to think that any action past or present

could change your whole life in a heartbeat

What if I made completely different friends and completely

different choices? 

What If?
