What If

It all began

As a giggle

Before my laughter

From deep within erupted,

And roared.

I was surprised.

I had never laughed,

So very loudly;

It was indeed indecent of me,

Because of the silent background

I felt like hiding my face,

But for how long.

My face is my asset,

People know me by my face,

By my good looks.

I thought people

Would laugh with me,

No one did,

Nobody asked,

What made me laugh?

I had seen the inevitable,

I had seen the new dawn

Spread its brightness,

It made me happy,

I did not curb my joy.
