What if Prince Charming Never Came

What if Prince Charming found another girl with tiny feet and never noticed that it wasn't Cinderella? What if Cinderella stayed in her mansion prison with her terrible step family? Would she have clung to her glass slipper because it was all she had? Memories of past relationships are kind of like glass slippers. Fragile and beautiful. Even when there's nothing left and your whole world is filled with cinders and soot, you keep those memories, that glass slipper, protected from it all. After a long days work you go up to your room and cradle it. You forget about how they hurt your feet and showed off your botched pedicure because amongst the dirt and grime of your small room, it is beautiful. But something bothers you, deep inside as you stare at it's glamour. You start to cry and clutch at the slipper like you want to throw it. Cinderella doesn't want to stay in her terrible home. She doesn't want to be stuck in a dirty room with her memories or a glass slipper. She wants to forget and she wants to destroy. So she throws the slipper on the ground after many months of waiting for her prince. She moves on.
