What Inspires Me

Every morning, eyes shut closed

The alarm goes off, dreams come to a halt

I press snooze, to get more sleep,

And being late is all my fault.

But before I choose to lose my day

I think of what I enjoy.

So I get out of my warm and cozy bed,

And begin my day with a sense of joy

Friends and family I can’t live without

So when I think of them

I almost get up and shout.

Food, games, and school are my passion

Nature and beauty, too.

I think of these things to keep me going

And get out of the blues.

Seasons and the earth are wonderful things

Hearing the animals, and the river

Almost make me sing.

So when I start my day

Full of gloom and doom

I things of these things

And my energy begins to bloom.
