What Is A Poem Without A Poet?

Poetry is humanity It lives and breaths and sings with us It fears what we fear It loves what we love Without the pain of poets distraught The poems we love we would not have gotten How often, tell me, on your most average day Does a car express emotion? Does a streetlight stop and wave? Cool sleek metal simply cannot describe the mental Processing it takes, to make pain into a thought and then create Letters of the soul Lines from the heart Stanza's penned in blood, and The true beauty of art
