What is it to be flawless?
What is it to be flawless?
Is it to be without mistakes, to be ideal, to be revered?
Or to be desired by all, unbroken, and be perfect in every sense?
What if you were the flawless athlete? You many not have a 4.0.
What if you were the flawless student? You may not have time for friends.
What if you were the flawless friend? You may not be an athlete.
The question of “What if?”
Eventually the focus of what we do have, comes to the focus of what we don’t have.
Constantly striving for a perfection that can never be.
Enveloping ourselves in envy, indignation, and despair.
Yet, what if we asked the question of “What is?”
I am a human.
I am a brother.
I am a son.
I am a student.
I have friends and family.
This question leads to what I do have.
A deeper appreciation of who and what surrounds me.
Gratitude and perspective erupts through my synapses.
A greater sense of who I am remains.
Yet my ambition and determination craves a desire to flourish.
Instead of “What if?” I ask, “How can I?”
Now with a different realization of what flawlessness is.
How can I be more compassionate?
How can I be more productive?
How can I be healthier?
How can I be a better friend?
Realizing to be flawless is the pursuit to be better, not perfect.
To be who you want to be and enjoy it to the fullest.
To make mistakes in life and to prosper after them.
This is who I am and how I am flawless.
