What it meas to Me
Writing lets me cry when I can’t shed a tear
Writing lets me speak when I can’t open my mouth
Writing lets me be free when I’m stuck in a cell
Writing lets me fight when I can’t even move
I can set free the thoughts jumbled in my head
I can scream or whisper my broken heart
I can laugh or cry without fear of rejection
I can share or keeps secrets with just the stroke of a pen
Free to just be who I am
Free to express what I see or think
Free to share joy or pain
Free to enjoy my imagination
I write so I won’t lose my mind
I write so I don’t have to hold back anymore
I write so I can be stronger
I write so I can move on
