What It MustBe Like...

I just sat there
while my apathy filled the air.
For I did not care.

People moved on;
sports carried through.
I stifled a yawn.
All the artists drew.
I did not care.

Pressure weighed in.
The world advanced.
Revolution began.
I left it to chance.
I did not care.

My knowledge was weak;
My body was frail.
They tried to be meek.
These virtues I did not hail.
I did not care.

The clock ticked again.
I began to freeze.
No reason to force a grin,
the goals of life didn't tease.
I did not care.

The world was ending;
time was bending.

Life around me, started to collapse.
The universe itself would die, perhaps.

But I just sat there
while my apathy filled the air.
For I did not care.
