What Is It Like To Speak Aloud?

For years, I had dreamed of a lifestyle different from my own

What is it like to speak aloud?

Lack of confidence hindered an outgoing soul

Often times I felt less than worthy

I grew sick of insecurity burdening my shoulders

I started working to fill in the gaps

With time, the practice of self-love boosted my esteem

And I was pleased with the girl in the mirror

I found the ability to induce joy in others

My fear of rejection perished

As my self-confidence flourished

Easygoing, I acquaint myself with more people than I can keep up with

But despite being surrounded by a plethora of confidants

I still experience feelings of isolation and hopelessness from time to time

For I have not forgotten the timid girl I once embodied
