What It's Like

Do you know what it's like to hurt?

The pain,

physical,

emotional,

mental.

Do you know what it's like to turn your head into your tear soaked pillow?

The sleeves you must wear to cover who you really are.

The smile you must fake,

the tears you hold back,

the words you couldn't dare saying.

Do you know what it's like to give up?

Taking that bottle,

swallowing them all,

feeling the surging,

searing pain and the crimson drips.

Gone.

She is  gone.

Where is everyone else?

Wondering how this could have happened.

Thinking that they should have been nicer,

noticed the signs.

She is gone.

She died smiling,

finally at piece.
