What Lies Beneath

Without my filters

Is a crazy world inside my head.

I am an Aston Marton in a world of Lotuses,

Hiding behind my sideskirts.

I am a female road course driver,

Hiding behind my boyfriend's car.

I am an avid reader,

Hiding behind.....

Nothing.

I love reading.

I am a craft beer connoisseur

Hiding in a world of wineos.

I have a loud mouth,

Hiding behind a shy demeanor.

A judgmental family pulls

One direction after the other.

But as I grow older,

I become more myself every day.

I lose another filter day by day.
