What is Life...?

Thu, 12/31/2015 - 00:45 -- Gem

What is music without a song?

For if my voice is missing, who will hear it?

What are words without my story?

For if I swallow it, who will read it?

What is work without my hand?

For if I run from it, who will do it?

What is a need without my eyes?

For if I look away, who will see it?

We have a responsibility--

to share and be a testament;

to grasp the moments of life we are given

and weave our best gold.

The taste of emptiness is bitter--

and of disappointment too salty to bear.

But until we answer the call of God,

how can our jars be filled?

But He never gives up on us,

and neither should we!

Give Him a chance to change your life

and He will set you free!

He'll do it for you just like He did it for me.

And it does not matter how heavy your chains may be.

'Cause what is life if you are a slave,

to the same old habits that got you nowhere--

and to the same old fears that terrorized you and prevented

you from living your purpose?

To the same old lies that defined you

and to the same old friends who made you into something you weren't

and never really wanted to be?

The truth is:

Only God can turn a slave into a winner--

the winner you were created to be.

So ask Him--and let Him--

because only YOU can.
