what is life

what is life but the secrets of men

the dire calls of broken souls

the endless maze of lies

what is life but the benevolence of others

the beauty of darkness

the crooked evil in the sunlight

what is life but happiness among friends

what is life but trials thrown our way

what is life but the terrors of our memories

what is life but hidden tears in the dark

what are our lives worth but at the expense of others

what are our lives but trial and error

what is the meaning of our lives then

if we trade them away for others

what are our lives but our fates unanswered

what exactly are they

happiness, betrayal, fights, and feuds

love, passion, crime, and punishment

what is our life but the meaning of ourselves
