What Life is like with half an earlobe (Spoken word)
1. Yes half is really gone, please stop staring
2. I blame my condition on my father, everyone knows that was a shady haircut
3. You never truly know yourself until you know what camp you fall in,
half-lobes and full-lobes
4. Yes I just separated personalities by ears
5. Separation is key for a revolution, because America needs something to fight for,
something to die for, something to blame their lives for
5.5 Seperation is easy when one camp stands half-hearted, aching as everyone who
gets to be whole laughs at our twistid disposition
6. I remember the first time I noticed that I was a half-lobe. I was six, happily
throwing a football on the playground. Fast enough to seem normal, but not
quite fast enough to escape Nate Christians eye.
7. What's wrong with you
7. Normal people aren't missing pieces
7. People who aren't normal don't have any friends
7. I lost my friends
8. I tried to cover up my ear with things like band-aids, it was always easier to be
asked
what happened? rather than, what's wrong?
9. Isn't it interesting how we tape together our holes rather than embracing the
little imperfections that bring people like me here, and isn't it interesting how
deformity is just a speech impediment for conformity
10. By this age I would do the unthinkable. I started to rub the ridges of my
earlobe in hope that it would bring good luck. This horrible
piece which used to define me was the innate quality I turned to for good
fortune.
11. What side do you fight for
12. Fill in the blank
