What Is Love
What is the true meaning of love?
Love is patient and love is kind,
But love can also be your last demise.
Love can surprise you and hit you like magic,
But just like Romeo and Juliet, it can be tragic.
Love is beautiful just like a piece of art,
But love also has the power to crush your heart.
Love is not angry and love is not envious,
But sometimes you have to remember, you deserve better than this.
Love is what we all hope for when we grow older,
But too many heartbreaks can leave a person colder.
All in all, we crave for someone to love us,
Although be careful, there's no need to rush.
In marriage love is vowed until your last breath,
But can you really love when you have nothing left?
When you feel so alone, so angry, so depressed
And you try your best to keep those memories suppressed,
Just know that there is a beautiful soul waiting to be with you
Who will love your imperfections and love you for all eternity too.
When you're happily in "love" make sure you're not naive
Too all the signs that might entail your lover's leave.
Love is both a bright and yet dark concept to grasp,
But if you whole-heartedly love someone, you'll do anything to make it last.
The younger generation of today throws the word "love" around like it's nothing,
So has the word "love" and the beautiful things that come with love lost it's meaning?
The two final questions to keep in the back of your head
No matter what anyone else has said is;
Who's going to be there for you when push comes to shove?
What is the true meaning of love?
