What is Love?

what is love?

is it an emotion we really feel?

or just a word people over use?

i mean, two vowels, two consonants make up the word?

but alls it takes is two people to have the feelings?

how do i know i truly am feeling this emotion?

and not just expressing the definition?

i wanna know?

the love i feel towards my mom?

can it be the same love i feel towards my future wife?

or is it the word love thats being used?

i can't explain the feeling,

but thats because i'm not sure if i've actually have felt it yet?

but rather,

i’m feeling what the definition wants me to feel?

i wanna know,

do i really get that warm feeling inside?

or feel the same way i did before i met the one i “love”?

can it be true though?

that a man or women can  still have feelings of love towards a single person?

or does some of it fade?

do they question if they even think they loved them in the first place?

or rather,

know.

that even through the rough patches that the one person is still there?

that they know that, that one person is still there?

knowing when everyone else has left you,

that they will be there?

i don't know how to explain love,

i don't think anyone truly can put it into words?

…

but what i can truly say is this,

as a word,

love is no different than any other adjective...

and is overused.

but as an emotion it's a rare wonder that a few of us get to feel?

the only problem people have is,

theyre having the emotion run through them,

but no one can truly explain it,

so those who wonder what love truly is,

could be the ones experiencing it truly.

but the whole time they're asking themselves,

“what is love?”
