what is love?
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” But is that all that love is? Love is an intense emotion driven by the most utmost care and desperation. Love can make you see new and exciting characteristics but impair you visually by showing you a false reality of people. Love is a force that can drive a man to the edge of a cliff yet not jump. Love over all other things fuels us. But love is not linear. We do not all love the same way or the same things and with that it drives us differently. In our world today love is such a taboo subject – it delineates who to love and how to actually learn to love ourselves in a way we see fit. Our society wants us to believe that love is not tangible. With all the divorce and separation, and what we see on the television, it portrays to us that love is too complex to be kept, and it’s not worth fighting for anymore. But no matter how complex love is made out to be, it is worth every tear, every scream, every word, touch, smell, it is worth it. As soon as the world realizes, it is only through love we might come closer to a solution to solving our problems. Let’s make love our weapon of choice, better yet the only weapon. So let us all be at peace in who we are and learn to embrace the differences we were made to have and desire the change we see in others.1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says “Love is patient, love is kind.
