What is Love?

What is love?

It is an Idea?  a thought? a feeling?

Is it the filling of a void that has long been missing? Is it the acknowledgent of another?

Love can be all of these things and more,

however if not in the right way,

these things can lead one down a hole of unhealthy emotions,

one that will go further and further down until the love you thought you felt is replaced with pain.

Preventing this is easy if you know the way,

there aren't any rules to love, but this is what I have to say.

Love is not once sided, its two working as one,

to make the other a better person,

while allowing growth and self expression.

Love is not constant worry, its trust in one another,

to make the right choices with the right people.

Love is not selfish, its sacrificial and equal,

sharing, giving, and recieveing, but always grateful.

Love is not big gestures, its the little things that count,

keeping thought of what will make your day a bit brighter.

Love is not in discriminary, love is all around,

if you can accept all of another person, than love is what is found.
