love is when i say i love you
in the soft light of morning.
love is when you whisper i love you
under our warm covers at night.
love is when you hold me tight in your arms
whenever i feel sad.
love is when you jump up and down out of joy
and i jump with you.
love is when i cook you your favorite noodles
with two eggs and chili flakes on top.
love is when you don't think my cooking is really good
but you still say you enjoyed it.
love is when you tolerate my loud music
and i tolerate your messy side of the closet.
love is when you like my bad handwriting
and i find your snoring cute.
love is when i say i am uncomfortable
and you stop.
love is when you say let's not
and we don't.

love is when i admit that i am wrong
and you decide that you can forgive me.
love is when you shut me out
and i wait patiently outside
until you let me in again
because our love is worth the effort.
