What is Love?

What is Love? Is it the way you look at me? Is it the way smile at me? Is it the way you pay attention to me What is Love? Is it the way your eyes darken when I don't smile? Is it the way your hand tightens around my arm? Is it the way you throw me into darkness? Is it the way I cry when I think of you? Is it the way I cower when you come near? What is Love? Is it the way I stare at myself in disgust? Is it the way my bones show through my skin? Is it the marks on my wrist? Is it the way I hide from my friends and family? Is it the way I force myself to eat? What is Love? Is it when I finally confess my hate? Is it when they tore you away from me Is it the way I felt relief? Is it when I smiled for the first time? Is it when you disappeared forever? Is it when my friends and family helped me up? Is it when I really looked in the mirror and asked What is Love? Love is when you can accept yourself Love is when you know your worth Love is accepting help Love is letting go Love is Being Yourself
