Is it love when he shames me for my body

Is it love when he constantly texting me for hanging out with my friends

Is it love when he hits me and then say it was my fault

Is it love when he threatens to kill himself when I try to leave

Is it love when he tells me what I have to wear and where I can go

Is it love when he says because I love you after anything he does to me

Girls are taught that this is what love looks like in a relationship

Girls are taught that they’re nothing without the guy

Girls are taught that they have to conform to what the guy wants because of love

Girls aren’t taught that the one who loves you isn’t suppose to lay a finger on you

Girls aren’t taught that they are suppose to be respected in a relationship

Girls aren’t taught that because I love you is an excuse for guys

Love is what makes your heart beat for a good reason

Love is when a guy says I love you after he kisses you not when he hits you

Love isn’t an excuse a guy uses to make you stay

Love isn’t a frequent fear of what’s going to happen next after he gets angry
