Is That What Love Is?

Telling me I can’t go out

With friends I truly miss

Locking me in the house

Is that what love is?

Always checking my phone

Asking me, “Who’s this?”

Getting jealous all the time

Is that what love is?

Slapping, kicking, punching

Making up for it with a kiss

Going through this cycle

Is that what love is?

Breaking up every other day

Returning to pure bliss

With all your sweet talk

Is that what love is?

No, that’s not what love is.
