What is Love?

Not the black and blue on my canvas.

Not the force of your fists as they dance.

“Because I Love You, I have to do this to you and you need to listen to me, obey me.”

No. That is not love.

Love is…

Taking care of each other.

Protecting each other.

“I Love You.”

Love is being considerate of one another.

“Do you want  to do this together?”
Permission.
“Did you do this? Talk with me.”

Communication.

“What’s wrong?”

Patience and understanding.

Love is not a tool for manipulation.
