What is Love?

What is love?

love is Loyalty, Obligation, Value, and Empathy.

No!

Love is Pain.

Pain that comes from the dagger that stabs you in the chest,

leaking out feelings of resentment, confusion, but also pleasure.

So that when you take out that dagger you realize it felt better lodged in your chest,

piercing through your aching heart.

What  is love?

Love is Laughter, Observance, Vivid, and Emotional.

No!

Love is Deceitful.

Love will scoop you up and show all the things you've ever dreamed of.

It will take you to places that you never thought you could go, holding on to this

time as if it would never end.

Then it wakes you up and your are left all alone in a place you'd never want to be.

What is love?

Love is confusion.

Love is contradicting.

Love is the light inside the darkness.

Love is the shadow casting on the wall.

Love is vain.

Love unnecessary.

Tyheri Jones

I am a Afro-Caribbean woman and I am in search of a school that is accepting of my religion and heritage. I am on a path to pursue a degree in psychology so that I can council adolescents who face the same discrimination as I. Being of Nigerian decent, half African American and Jamaican, I have struggled with being accepted not only for my accent but for my hair, skin tone and religion.
