What Is Love

What is love A simple four-letter word That carries so many un-said words So much love, yet so much pain Why do we let people rule our life To let others tell you who to love Is to tell them how to breathe You do not need to be told You do not need to hear their advice Nor their opinions What is love Said by many but meant by few Tossed around like a penny But those who cherish it, keep it To love someone who does not feel the same Is to walk into open fire knowing what will come out of it What is love We never truly know what love is We do not know if it is true It has no cause nor a cure You ride it out like a dolphin in water Hoping it all turns out okay
