What Is Love?

If I was asked to define love,

I would say that it was the way

we fell into eachother's arms

On the 30th of October.

If I was asked what it feels like,

I would say it feels like the way

your eyelashes feel against

my cheek as you fall asleep.

If I was asked what it sounds like,

I would say it sounds like the way

your voice wraps around certain words

like honey, cute, and exactly.

If I was asked what it tastes like,

I would say it tastes like the way

Chinese food tastes on a sunday

and how icecream tastes any day.

If I was asked what love smells like,

I would say it smells like the way

your shampoo smells to me

when my fingers are tangled in your hair.

If I was asked what it looks like,

I would say it looks like the way

Your freckles look like the stars

and your eyes look at me.
