What Love is and What it is Not

Love is a word that all try to find,

it may come from afar or be discovered in time.

You cannot buy this and you cannot steal it,

but it is a treasure worth finding and keeping near.

Love is not just a word that you can have defined,

it is something inside you that can be sweet or as bitter as a lime.

it can cause happiness and joy but it can also be sad and leave an empty pit,

So if you discover it never let it slip or disappear.

Love is not a prize or a paper that can be signed,

It is a piece of your heart that is handed over to someone worthy of your time.

when it is acquired it is like two pieces of a puzzle that perfectly fit,

Don’t give it up it may one day appear.

Love is two beings combined and intertwined,

it is something that is safe but also with crime.

when it is found you may feel like you want to quit,

It may be scary at times but it will radiate warmth so you will never have to fear.
