What Makes Me Tick

There are all sorts of things

that make me tick,

one of them is the sound

when someone eats

So irritating,

I leave the room,

find an excuse to leave the kitchen

exit the restaurant

walk out to the bathroom

They say its called Misophonia

A hatred of ordinary sounds

But to me,

its far from ordinary

Chew, chew, swallow

Slurp, slurp, swoosh, swallow

I try to swallow

what I am about to say

I try to keep my mouth shut

from blurting out ,

what I want to say

So irritating,

I usually end up leaving the kitchen

exiting the restaurant

walking out to the bathroom.
