What Makes Things Awesome
My ma, my pa,
They don't get along that much
I had noticed for quite some time
When papa took the sis and me on a vacation
His wedding ring was gone the whole time
Said he didn't want to lose in the ocean
But it was the most solid thing in my life,
It wouldn't go anywhere
I remember on a Sunday morning
My mom ran from their room
Crying
I could hear the words
"You don't even understand"
I was frightened, I was scared for my sister, for my future
Not long after they sat us down and told us
I could see the tears begininning to form in my brave father's eyes
I thought I could always look to them when my relationships failed
But back then, everything I knew was broken
Two years later and I'm doing pretty swell
I'm happy, I have friends, and I'm able to say that I've found myself
I know this story may be everything but awesome
But thats what my life is now, its awesome
Most people don't pull through with things like that
They stick to home and don't live on and discover
But I love myself, I think I'm pretty awesome
I have two beautiful homes and everyone still loves me
When the times do get rough, they are not very awesome
But when you succeed and pull through,
That is what makes life and living awesome.
