What Marriage Looks Like

Marriage in America rarely lasts;

Many wonder why this is.

The truth is that this country lacks love.

Whether you are husband or wife, with marriage comes commitment because you love that person.

You make sacrifices for them,

You change the way you have always lived for them,

You look out and worry for them,

You help them out when there are feeling down,

All this ultimately because you love them.

I believe that many Americans have been unwilling to make this commitment,

To immerse themselves into marriage,

And to truly love their spouse.

This I believe is the reason why so many marriages in America do not last.

If you are not willing to make the commitment to your loved one, is it truly love?
