What Matters

In the fierce loneliness of an abandoned memory,

In the isolation of a crowded first class,

In the syllables of a word unspoken,

In the rejected brilliance of a silent idea,

In the forgotten shriek of laughter,

In the knowledge of a closed door,

What else, but faith?
