What Might Have Been

I’m from what might have been-

A different life to live

A part of me that’s not quite there

An unanswered question

Where do I come from

Is a question that started

When I saw that I was different

From the people that I lived with

Because I’ve lived this life

And I think it’s pretty good

I’ve been able to survive

As any human should

So the question that’s been asked

Where do I come from

Can be answered with a past

Of chaos and confusion
