What is in that mirror glass
Stand up
Look into that mirror that you praise
For holding the utmost image of beauty
Look at how your reflection changes
Who are you today?
You aren’t the same as you were yesterday
You hide yourself in the reflective glass
Like its your barrier to the judgment of the world’s piercing eyes.
What’s in that mirrored glass
That is so important,
That you would change yourself in such a way
To make those eyes accept you?
My love, I tell you that it is just glass.
A transparent construct the narcissists use to raise themselves.
Look away from the glass, and peer into your vibrant soul
This is who you are
So, my love, spread your true image to the world
Let the eyes absorb your radiancy
You aren’t defined by glass
Because you are true beauty.
