What Mirrors Me

I've stood in front of mirrors.

Mirrors that showed every curve and and flaw.

Yet I didn't see my full self, only a fraction of me is represented in this.... Mirror

No one knows that I put othser before myself.

Or that my sick grandfather is my only true friend and when he's gone..

All I  have is the lingering kisses on my forehead he gave me as a child.

My reflection can't tell everyone that I dance,

It record the emotions that run through my moving body when I hear the right song.

I am very emotional.

Im very expressive, but the mirror doesn't show that.

Eyes are like mirror and all they see is what's in front of them.

Never truly what's inside a person.

I am a young woman with a different outlook on life.

I can never say who I truly am because I believe I haven't lived to say who I am.

I am an unwritten book with chapters that have been erased and rewritten.

But your eyes.  Those mirrors?

Only see what's inside of you
