What I hear is not aggravating but pleasing the way she is played
She gives my heart a beat and has me loving the way
She sings the melody to her rhythm
I then tune in and listen to the sweet chords that she’s “givin”
From a piano key she gets down
Her sound has me hooked to a vivid imagery
Of one of them movies with Marilyn Monroe
Them black and white films, do you not know
This is something beautiful into action
The introduction of sound not the actress
What is Music?
What is necessity?
Something so essential it becomes obsessively used
Even abused that you feel like without it you will lose
What is Music?
What is identity?
Something so profound that you and I will be found
With the sound that we tune into showing how we get down
What is Music?
What is beautiful?
Something so fine to ears it excites molecules within
That we begin to please ourselves with the way we’re” livin”
What I hear is not aggravating but pleasing the way she is played
What I hear is Music
