what my life would've been at

What's wrong they ask me

How have you been they ask me

Nowadays i really don't know what to say

So i exhale and say i'm fine

Knowing that's not true

But hey what do they know

Hell they barely know the real you

I'm tired of being fine

I really wanna be happy

I can do this

I say

I've got this

As she screams to herself

Out the door she goes

And the world begins

She exhales and starts walking

She's smiles a bit and then turns her head

Not knowing the people watching as she crosses her legs

She begins to dance because she's happy

People clapping around her because she's doing good

But there's always that one person that ruin the mood

Makes you feel less than your worth with a nasty attitude

So you turn and walk away

Sadly your thinking it was bad and nobody liked it

Even though they were clapping a cheering

That one person made it frightening

Now you're back in your room

Mom walks in

How was your day honey she says

It was great until…

Until what she says

Nothing comes out but tears

She hugs u and says what's wrong

You roll your eyes and say NOBODY CARES ANYWAY

Mom says why would you think that

She rolls her eyes again

And exhales and starts to explain her day

Moms eyes gets big and smiles and says

Honey life has miles and no matter what we cant run out of gas

She smiles and hugs her mom so tight her mom says

Honey mommy cant breath they both laugh

Its 11:05 and she still hasn't went to bed yet thinking of her birthday at 12

She'll be 17 oh yeah that big number one more to go

And suddenly everything seems scary

She closes her eyes and breathes in and out just before 12:01

Mom runs in HAPPY BIRTHDAY she screams my baby is growing up

She started to laugh with tears flowing down her face

It was a huge surprise simply because everytime her birthday comes mom is busy with work

Since dad is no longer in the picture mom is working twice as hard

He died a couple years back always being missed

Yeah i would say i'm the only child but that would be a lie

I have two sister and one brother they all left after high school

My plan well is to go to college at U.A.C

For those who don't know that university of california baby

That's my dream college i've been researching that college since i was about 10 years old

Yeah a pretty long time

Haven't really told mom yet

Scared for the distance and the price

See i'm a junior in high school with a lot of dreams

My grades not looking to good well since dad passed

a lot of things has happened

Mom didn't go to work for a while

Well maybe more than a while she started again this year

So some days i didn't go to school to make sure mom was okay

Her and dad were like best friends

one day i wanna be just like them
