What My Mind Sounds Like

What My Mind Sounds Like

By Quin Koldan

My mind is a symphony

Consonance, Dissonance appearing in abundance

Sounds of countless varieties

Inside and out, do the melodies flow

Like a welcome spring breeze through an open window

My brain is a calculator

Numbers appearing and changing forms

Addition and subtraction, multiplication, division

Values extrapolated and molded suit my desire

Manipulated to realize what I envision

My mind doesn’t have a long atten-

tends to move faster than I can speak

But, every now and again

I can slow down and enough sense

To properly iterate what’s in my head

And as soon as it’s all down

All the ideas flown out of my head

I take musical building blocks and put them together

To create a new painting that sounds like no other

I am happy
