What is my name?

Is it my classifier?

Will this moniker I own embrace me back?

Is it for those who deem to use to strike me?

My father had the same name 

And his father before him.

Is that important too?

I doubt a name holds much love;

I saw what the man did to the other man with the same name.

And what he did to me.

Am I to reduce to him because I brand his alias?

And what if I decide to change it?

Or ask people to call me different?

Does that consequently change me?

Will this make me anew?
