What Once Was

Thu, 12/19/2013 - 14:00 -- Kiomay

You came, you brought me joy,

you brought me laughter,

but most of all, you brought me love.

And when you left, you took them all away.

I was a fool.

Should've known you were never here to stay.

Should've known you'd go away.

When you left, you left me a broken empty heart.

When you left, you left me shattered dreams.

Now my empty heart closes the doors for you,

for others,

for a second chance.

It closes from the unbearable: insanity.

I hope that you go and never love again, to spare others of such pain.

But darling dear, if you do love, love truly, love deeply.
