What People Can Be

Open your eyes and take a look,

When you shut your mouth and close your book.

All around you can see,

What people can truly be.

Evil, cruel, crazy, and mean,

This is everything you have seen.

A modern myth it is you see,

That people are as good as they can be.

Cheaters and liars and users galore,

Everyone's just trying to get ahead and more.

Take a look and you will see,

Just what people really can be.
