What Is A Poem?

A poem is written beauty.

When you look at the moon and stars.

When you fall in love with the perfect boy who treats you like his princess.

When you close your eyes and you feel at peace.

The feeling is identical to this,

This feeling is perfection.

So look into the night sky,

Fall in love,

Close your beautiful eyes,

Just stop thinking,

Start feeling.

Open your heart,

Let your mind wander,

When you feel the peace,

This is where poetry comes from.

Poetry is angel wings brushing your face,

butterfly kisses on blushing cheeks,

a feeling of being complete,

knowing who you are, no matter what anyone else says. 

Poetry is life.
