What is Poetry?

What is it,

Really?

Poetry is a gaggle of words

Without is, are, or the.

Poetry is a language.

I know the words

Yet there is no sense

I know on meaning

Yet there is one deeper.

Poem and prose

Similar meaning

But one shines farther.

Love is richer,

And sorrow, more poignant.

But what makes a poem,

And what doesn't?

For all I know,

I could be writing one

Right now.
