What is poetry?
Is poetry simply words to reimburse?
Words to curse?
To make better or worse?
Hmm. To simply say that they are words...
Would mean to describe what kind of words.
They are.
They will always will be.
My heart.
At least to me
They are.
Words flowing together on paper
Words overflowing like a river on a movie picture
It's unbelievable and indescribable
Unpredictable and wonderful
It is poetry's definition
Not merely a parallel syntax structure with abstract diction
But graceful, elegant, trustworthy
Trustful Words that are written down for my history
It is my legacy
To conquer my soul's discrepancy
My poetry could never hold inconsistency
Because even if it is misunderstood it carries its coherency
It is my life
It is how I live and carry my strife
Where would I be without words so literary?
Would I be living a life on the side of the contrary?
On the Contrary side to my conviction
Proceeding with acts against my own salvation?
It is my right to use poetry as speech
It is my light that I can reach
Words that connect to the heart, mind, and soul
A motivation of words like civil rights movements are as a whole
Even civil right leaders use poetry as determination
As they keep pushing through society's discrimination
They use poetry to fight for a better life for their sons
They use poetry to impact the stomach the runs
Ooooh that's gotta be painful
Poetry, words that come more than handful
Despite what it is and how we define it?
How will we all embrace and take it?
If it strips you bear to face your phobias and fears?
If it unravels and rolls every last of your tears?
This is the impact of words literary
It's lyrical, it's beautiful, and my legacy
Poetry, the whole of me
It is my character and all of me
It is the me that can speak over the masses
It is the me that gives me clarity over my prescription glasses
It is poetry
