What Poetry Has Taught Me

Poetry has taught me to never fear the wave that threatens to crest and break over my head

Poetry has taught me to embrace the emotions and beauty that spatter on my closed eyelids and cheeks

Poetry has allowed me to accomplish the deepest motives and desires of my dreams through imagination

Poetry has revealed to me fantasias and worlds beyond human speculation

But most of all, Poetry has shown me true beauty and the amazing experience behind what it means to be fundamentally human.
