what poetry is to me

poetry, You are more than lines of rythem or simple theme,

poetry You are a piece of me.

You are my friend, my confidant.

through You i was able to come to terms with the hand life has delt me.

remember?

my sinful existance,

the abuse i receaved from my own blood,

the assualt of both my body and heart,

the loss of one that I never new.

That was the One that hurt us most,

i couldn't cope and felt myself slipping into darkness,

there were no words to describe my despare and no way for me to call on those around me for support.

But You poetry...

You gave me the tools to creat something that brought light into the darkness,

I felt heard thanks to our creation,

I am more than my pain,

and for That I owe You my everything.
