What really matters!!

Let's be real Life is the only thing that matters I love you Grandma G But the Ivy League ain't for me 4 years in an Ivy Tower Brain poisoned with False sense of power Ma, you're my ride or die Can't you see why You want HBCU It ain't for me to do what you do Drilled in my head Education is key to unlocking doors I'm going to college That much is clear Seeking wisdom and knowledge To become a Black man to fear Critically thinking My ship ain't sinking It's Full Sail ahead I've made my bed. It's not Ivy League or HBCU Y'all have to fall back and Watch me do what I do. I need the hands on approach To life long learning So I can find a way to be Money earning, racism burning, Community churning, no longer yearning For ways to be discerning. What really matters is... I AM GOING TO THE COLLEGE OF MY CHOICE My choice, my voice, my choice, my voice I will get a degree Ain't that ALL that really matters?
