What is unconditional love

What is waking up with a blanket of warmth surrounding your soul

It something not everyone endures in their lifetime

Other than my family I have not found this in a partner

Though when my red irish setter puppy stares at me with those glossy brown eyes

I know what unconditional love is

What is a relationship?

What is having someone in your life that will never leave

Knowing that the person lying next to you in those red silk sheets

will love you until the end of your days

Sure, you may fight and you may scream

But you never go to bed angry or sleep on a heavy mind

You watch the same shows together, not because you have the same taste in shows of course

You just like being around them, because that is your partner in this crazy world we live in

One can speak these words but not truly understand until it happens to them

There is no such thing as a healthy relationship!

There is only the relationship that is right for you
