What School Couldn't Teach Me

With out knowing it I’ve learned so much school couldn’t teach me.

I’ve learned how wake up every  morning  putting on a mask

that hides the worries  I’ve heard and the troubles I’ve seen

that haunt me day and night

school  couldn’t teach me that

I’ve learned how to stand tall even went I feel like I’ve fallen

I’ve learned  how to watch and listen but never say what I truly think unless I’m asked.

School couldn’t teach me that

I’ve learned to put my self first in stead of those who’ve

stole my heart and returned it cracked.

I’ve learned how to push forward on the lowest day

School could never teach me that.
