What Shall be of the Leaf?
In a tight connection bound
That Mother Nature herself had wound,
A leaf and branch exist in unison
Until frigid winter steps in.
Autumn takes a seasonal break thrice,
Then succeeds summer's warm entice,
And readily as it goes,
Succumbs to winter's definite snow.
The heavy precipitation breaks the bond
Of which I am fond.
Although this sorrowed situation may yield a sigh,
It shall result in yet another tie.
The leaf and branch may depart one another,
With the wind helping the leaf set sail.
But what of the lonely branch and the coming leaf?
That shall be another tale.
