What She Taught Me

The sweet nectar of her love

Only created dreams
That created an
Illusion
For me
To be
What she wanted

The smell of her scent
Created the memories
From the long hugs to
The gently lip to lip
Kisses
How much I missed
Those kisses

Her smile
Brightened the dark days
That may
Have caused a lot of
Depressed and unclear days
Ahead

That attitude that she had
Showed how strong she was
How passionate things were
To her
She was so sure
While I was
So unsure
My disbelief was thick
While her belief
Seemed to stick

Her ability to prosper
Through thick and thin
Proved to me
She was strong
Even when she's wrong
At times
She courages me
To be better
Maybe I need to
Let her
Teach me
To be more of myself
Than anyone else
